I had an interesting experience with this honey infusion. Testing indicated that very little of the THCwas absorbed into the honey, rendering it only mildly psychotropic. My business partner and I tested the honey three times, always getting the same results. From my personal experience, the infused honey seems to be physically relaxing and 1 tablespoon is potent enough to be calming and to help with sleep.
YIELD: Makes 4 cups (1.4 kg)
1/2 ounce (15 g) cannabis, decaboxylated and finely chopped
4 cups (1.4 kg) honey
1. Place the cannabis in a cheesecloth bag or pouch tied with kitchen twine.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring the honey to a simmer. Add the cheesecloth with the cannabis to the honey and simmer gently over low heat for 2 to 3 hours.
3. Remove the cheesecloth and squeeze to extract all the honey (be careful, as it will be very hot). Let cool at room temperature. Store in a covered jar in the refrigerator indefinitely.

Note: This recipe pairs nicely with medicated challah.
